By chance, I was only recently introduced to Cock Robin when I saw their terrific video "When Your Heart Is Weak" shot here in our desert southwest.
The music and video are just sensational. The video with Anna LaCazio is a class act. I may live in the country, but I appreciate talent when I hear it.
I would appreciate it if someone who knows their music could recommend to me an album which contains ballads such as "When Your Heart Is Weak"? |

First, welcome on the Cock Robin message board.
Indeed, this video of "When your heart is weak" is quite memorable ! All members are very classy and "your" wild landscape is beautiful.
Well, I'd be tempted to recommend to you their 4 LP's ! If you like WYHIW, try to get their debut album simply called "Cock Robin" [1985]. It also contains fabulous songs such as, of course, "The Promise you made" or "Thought you were on my side". The voices of Anna LaCazio and Peter Kingsbery are remarkable. In fact, Cock Robin albums are made of a great and homogeneous quality. You should like the following "After here through midland" [1987] ("The biggest fool of all", "Just around the corner", "El norte"..), "First love, last rites" [1989] ("Worlds apart", "For experience sake", "Manzanar"..) and the one that was edited last year for the come back : "I don't want to save the world" [2006], that contains marvellous songs such as, among others, "Italian soul", "Bo" or "Fair enough".

Thanks for the recommendations.
Maybe they'll do an extended video version "When Your Heart is Weak" shot at another desert mountain location. I'd enjoy that.
